Conquer Coomer's Defenses: A Scraping Triumph!

I've tried garrisoning units in the city, repairing, healing, nothing seems to get those city defenses back up once i'm in control of it. I can't figure out how to get the shield (s) back up on a city. Does anyone know for the triumph, can you get a platinum score in 2 encounters, come back another day to do the last 2, and still complete the triumph? Or does it have to be in one session? A self defense set which takes full advantage the easily obtainable def/res options out there and frees up a team healer from having to worry about you.
